Q. I don’t have a microphone, will I still be able to take part?

As long as you book at least 3 working days in advance of the course, you will be sent a headset with integrated microphone. We do not supply headsets for free webinars.

Q. How long will the session last?

eLearning virtual courses last between 60 and 90 minutes.

Q. How do I access the ‘classroom’?

The day before your course, you will be sent a link which you click on to access the course. When you log on, a very small piece of software is downloaded onto your computer.

Q. Can I interact with the trainer and the others on the course?

You can speak to the trainer and the other delegates through the headsets supplied to you or use Chat to type messages to the other delegates. A shared whiteboard will allow you to communicate by typing comments, drawing, highlighting and pointing.

Q. How can I get the attention of the trainer during a training session?

You can indicate when you want to speak by virtually raising your hand. This will be explained to you on the course.

Q. Will I be able to hear other learners’ points and questions?

Yes. You will be able to hear all the other delegates and they will be able to hear you.

Q. Do I need any special equipment?

No. You will be able to take part as long as your computer meets the basic requirements listed in ‘Technical information’

Q. How do I get more information on a course? How can I book? How do I pay?

After you have browsed the courses, you can book and pay online by credit or debit card, or you can arrange to pay by cheque by calling 0800 954 0661.

Q. How do I get the course materials?

Materials for the course will be available for download during the session.

Q. I’m not great with computers, can I still sign up to an e-learning course?

The elearning courses are very simple to take part in. You do not need a lot of technical knowledge. Each session has a 'host' as well as a training. The host is there to look after your needs.
